About iPad Digital Drawing Classes by Yow

Digital drawing is becoming very popular with the rise of social media like Facebook and Instagram and the increasing accessibility of digital tools like the tablet and stylus. Digital drawing enables artists (and would-be artists!) to explore different mediums of art without having to invest and store expensive art supplies like COPIC markers, canvases, brushes, etc. Best of all, you don’t need to clean up after you are done (unless you spill coffee on your iPad, which then requires much more than a clean-up!)

With the announcement of the new 2018 iPad (priced affordably at SGD498) which is now compatible with the Apple Pencil, digital drawing is even more accessible than ever. Coupled with the drawing app, Procreate, the iPad is a very powerful and mobile tool to rediscover the creativity in you! Anyone aged 6 to 99 years are welcomed 😊

Learning Goals

• Select & customise brushes to best suit your creative style
• Use layers to plan & construct your art pieces
• Use Procreate tools and shortcuts to improve your workflow & result
• Create & import texts with fancy fonts to craft your story
• Export your creation into multiple formats for various purposes
• Take your creative skills to the next level

Supply List

•        An iPad (2018) or iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil (Recommended); or
•        Any iPad and a third party compatible stylus; or
•        Any iPad and your finger to draw; AND
•        Preinstalled Procreate app (One-time SGD14.98 on the Apple App Store)

  

Time & Location of Classes (CLOSED FOR JUNE 2018)

Group classes will be held at the follow locations & timings:

381 Clementi Ave 5: Sat 10am - 1130am (26 May & 9/16/23 June, 2018)

289 Chua Chu Kong Ave 3: Wed 630pm - 8pm (30 May & 13/20/27 June, 2018)

336 Ang Mo Kio Ave 1: Thurs 630pm - 8pm (28 May & 11/18/25 June, 2018)

3 Hour Camp will be held at:

381 Clementi Ave 5:  Sat 2pm – 5pm (26 May & 9/16/23 June, 2018)

Private (1 to 1) classes are held at Queens condo (dates & timing are flexible)

Fees

Group classes are SGD250* for 4 lessons per person

3 Hour Camp is SGD145 per person

Private classes are SGD540 for 6 lessons per person

*50% off the second person if you bring a friend!
